Last updated: 2 April 2026

Nyaya Saathi (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Uniqe Corporation (GSTIN: 09AEFPK6657L2ZV). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use it, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDPA”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

By using Nyaya Saathi at www.legalaidai.in, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Our Core Privacy Principle

Your legal conversations are never stored on our servers. AI chat messages are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after the response is generated. Your chat history, cases, and documents remain on your own device or your own cloud account (Google Drive / OneDrive) — never on ours.

What we explicitly do NOT store on our servers:

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

3. AI Chat — How Your Questions Are Processed

When you send a message to the AI Legal Consultant:

  1. Your message and recent conversation context are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing
  2. Claude generates a response, which is sent back to your browser
  3. The conversation is stored in your browser’s local storage — not on our servers
  4. We record only that a message was sent (count + timestamp) for fair-use tracking

Anthropic (the AI provider) processes your query under their own privacy policy. Per Anthropic’s commercial API terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.

Document Uploads

If you upload a document (PDF, image, DOCX) for AI review, it is read in your browser, converted to text, and sent to the AI for that single query. The document is not stored on our servers. After the response is generated, the content is discarded from the processing pipeline.

Advocate Studio — Research Queries & Document Drafting (Pro Plan)

When you use the Advocate Studio for legal research or document drafting, your query or draft details (including any case facts you provide) are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing. This content is not stored by us, and per Anthropic’s commercial API terms, it is not used to train their AI models.

Additionally, for research queries, a keyword search is sent to the Indian Kanoon API to retrieve real case references. This search contains only your legal research keywords — no personal or client-identifying information.

Your completed drafts, case notes, and saved work remain entirely with you — stored in your browser’s local storage or, if you choose, your own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account. This data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We recommend advocates avoid including client names or identifying details in research queries as a best practice.
